You may have your heart set on a particular type of material, but low availability can drive the price up and end up costing a fortune. Make sure you check that your desired materials are readily available at a reasonable price. You may have to switch material choices to fit your budget.

Account for Needed Storage

One of the biggest complaints of homeowners and renters is a lack of adequate storage. It is easier to develop a reasonable plan for needed storage at the design stage. Having to change the plans later will cost time and money. Having to add storage down the road can also prove inconvenient and costly.
